Lesson in the Dark Room

The Light that is So Bright I’ve lived for long time in a world without light
I’ve got used to see things in candlelight
And to see all colors in a yellow frame
And to see all around flickering as its flame

Flickering as its flame

This circle of candlelight it was my cage
What was out of it I could guess for age
I couldn’t agree with it, but it wasn’t my choice
The yellow flame had given its voice

I started to forget that it could be in a different way
That there is the sun, but it’s so far away
That I can’t see its light

That is so bright

But one day I met you and my heart cried – “I love you”
I never said it aloud ‘cause I lived in a cloud
But even through its fog I saw the light

Something started to happen in my dark room
All candles faded and I felt like a groom
That sees his princess in a beautiful light

Probably I went crazy from the darkness around
And for what I feel there is no real ground
But I don’t want to hear about it ‘cause I’ve seen the light

That is so bright

I don’t know the future, what happens – that’ll be
But I’ll never forget that heartbeat
That made my feel alive in the shadows of grave
When I saw that light
