DP: Good evening Jack Lang; thanks for being with us tonight, live, for we didn't hear you about the DSK affair. We can remind that you are a close friend of DSK and you saw him, I think, during his last trip to Paris. You supported him for the "Parti Socialiste" primary election; although, we don't know if we must talk in the past. So, what is your reaction?

JL: I think that what must guide every citizen in this country, socialist or not, is, in judicial matters, the search for truth and equity. So, I don't speak about an affair I don't know, but I can notice that, for two days there is a sort of relentlessness, of lynching against Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

DP: And from whom?

JL: From the American judicial system and media system in general. On the one hand, only the voice of the accusation is heard: it refers to a series of facts or events; at no time has it been possible for the defense to respond, and we must wait many days before Dominique Strauss-Kahn is able to answer in fair terms. I also noted many contradictions in the police, who changed their story at different times; I note it without drawing any consequences.
