Tribute to Evil
Gerald Fried - Odds On Evil 1966 Music clips culled from the season 1 episode "Odds On Evil" 1966 of "Mission: Impossible" in which IMF agent Cinnamon Carter actress Barbara Bain is sent to the casino of Prince Iben Kostas actor Nehemiah Persoff to seduce and fool him while IMF agent André Malif actor Nico Minardos, posing as the silly husband, is winning at the roulette thanks to IMF agent Willy Armitage actor Peter Lupus and the purse of Cinnamon Carter. Later on, IMF agent Rollin Hand actor Martin Landau, posing as a professional player, is ordered to beat Kostas at the Baccarat table in order to empty his personal fund designed to pay weapons for a coup. Three IMFers escape from the tiny principality by breaking up the gate of the border when they join Cinnamon and André who just got rid of Kostas' henchmen.
Composer Gerald Fried writes an action-packed Greek-flavored score in which you can almost recognize a proto-"Jaws" motif—played by a bass guitar—when André places Cinnamon in the backseat of Kostas' black Rolls-Royce. Fried uses the traditional Bouzouki to emphasize the pace and the tension of the game and rearranges the theme of the series too with timpani and a heavy brass section. The score is so good that he will be tracked up until season 4: see "The Controllers, Part 2". - Emperor Battle for Dune Music Tribute to Evil
