"I use the opportunity of walking with my wolves to pick cranberries. But I almost have to fight for them because it turns out that wolves also love cranberries. They like fermented berries even more, but them they have trouble walking straight! Just like apples, they taste better when they're rotten. Anyway the wolves are happy because we walk in places where there are plenty of wild apple trees."

"The first time I went back to Strasbourg, the first night, I was woken up by the neighbour's garage door opening and then by the sound of the rubbish trucks. Here you don't hear a single sound and wake up to birds singing"

LEAD IN:
It sounds like something out of a Kipling novel, a 24-year old French woman has been living with wolves for the past 3 years.
But Laetitia Becker's there by choice - she's been looking after them in a remote part of Russia ever since they were caught by a local hunter.
Some days she spends up to 10 hours with the wolves in complete silence.
STORYLINE:
A pack of wolves is usually a frightening sight, but not to Laetitia Becker."I can tell when they approach me if they are friendly or not", says Laetitia.
Every morning Laetitia walks into the nearby forest and releases the young wolves from their pen.
They are part of her study into the behaviour of wolves.
There are just five people in Laetitia's village, all pensioners.
